Herpes and warts: While technically herpes, caused by herpesvirus , and genital warts, caused by HPV virus are not the same entity, both are considered venereal in nature and both can distribute onto the pubic area of a man or woman. For this reason, a condom may actually not protect sexual partners from spread by contact. There are vaccinations to prevent HPV and pills to suppress outbreaks of genital herpes.

They could, but...: Warts are not caused by herpes viruses. Thus, the warts can show up wherever they want to show up, regardless of whether a person has herpes or not. Most adults have oral herpes (almost always type 1 herpes), and some adults have genital herpes (bad to have, and are usually type 2 herpes). Warts are caused by HPV viruses, so get the HPV vaccine to block "some" of the HPV viruses, if aged 9-26 yrs.
