Allergic reaction.: An allergic reaction to a drug may take several days to appear. If you are taking no other new meds, then you likely are allergic to Bactrim. Call the prescribing doctor. Take 25-50 mg Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) (after reading label to be sure it is something you can take safely). If you have trouble breathing, swallowing, or chest pain, go to an ER right away.
