A member asked:

Is a wbc of 14500 extremely high?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

WBC: This level is only about 30% above the average upper limit of normal, so while that is elevated, it is far from the levels seen in many leukemic conditions. However, without a good explanation (infection, drug response, etc.) it deserves evaluation to exclude the various possibilities including leukemia.
