Perhaps: If do not have any radiating leg pain or severe back pain you could do some running. However, patients with a L5/S1 spondylolisthesis and foraminal stenosis have a higher risk of developing both back pain and radiating leg symptoms. If you were to have either back and/or leg symptoms you should probably not be running.

Would avoid: The best approach is gradual exercise program, avoiding compression trauma to lower back. Once you are sufficiently flexible and stronger, your therapist can gradually resume full exercise. But follow a gradual and progressive sequence and do NOT rush into it.
