Need Rx: A Viral Infection should begin to resolve within a week. There is likely another cause. Yes, you should see a Physician especially if you are a smoker or have asthma. Best Wishes.

Mgt: Upper respiratory infection may lead to pneumonia, but most viral illnesses resolve within 2 weeks. If you have fever, chills, a productive cough with thick sputum, please see your PCP. Cough can worsen at night due to post nasal drip, and a decongestant may help. Stay well hydrated, monitor your temperature and report changes to your physician.
