A member asked:

I feel that sometimes my nails are very hard even when they are tall but sometimes they become less harder knowing that my nutrition is still the same?

Hard nails: Your nails can vary in hardness based on not only nutritional status, but on climate changes, and hormonal changes. Thyroid conditions especially have a large effect on nail growth and brittleness. Fungus infection and repeated minor trauma to the hands can also have an effect on nail growth as can smoking and skin conditions such as psoriasis. It's best to review your situation with your MD.
