Yes: The uterus is in your pelvis however if the surgeon just goes to the lower right section of your abdomen the appendix is there on the base of the right colon

Laparoscopic: during a laparoscopic hysterectomy the appendix can be visualized. This means your doctors remove the uterus using a camera method of surgery. The camera allows the doctor to see many of the inside organs of the abdomen.
