Recent cold?: Sometimes a cold or viral infection of the nose can cause temporary changes in the function of your nose and sense of smell. This is usually temporary but if you are having other symptoms such as yellow mucous or cough you should see your doctor. If this persists for more than a few days consider seeing an ear nose and throat doctor for an evaluation.
