Bad migraine, pain in face. hospital gave meds for severe sinus infection and 103 fever. how long for meds to help infection so pain/fever goes away?

Should be soon: Some relief should be felt soon. More over the next few days. You can call the Hospital, provide exact info and ask for their estimate along w/ suggestions for what you might do. Always get this info when treatment is given - it's useful (as you now see). Also, it was probaby not migraine, but severe sinus headache. Best!

2-3 days: If you are taking the right antibiotic, it should show benefit within 48 to 72 hours. Fever should come down, pain should diminish. If these symptoms are not better in 72 hours, a change to a different antibiotic may be required in order to get well. The full course of antibiotics is 7 to 10 days.
