Should a cut tendon in the foot be repaired if the middle toe will not bend and the other toes have limited range of motion?

Specialist call: Repair of tendons to lesser toes are uncommonly repaired. As opposed to hand tendon lacerations which can be repaired and rehabilitated via ot, your foot is not very mobile to start and stiffness usually ensues. The salvage procedure for a deformity due to a tendon cut is to fuse the toe. Seek a foot surgeon have them go over your options non-operative vs surgery. Pt can help the other toes motion.

Yes!: Any injury that affects function should be properly treated. Otherwise, those toes will continue to deform from the intact tendon on the other side. Sooner is better as a severed tendon will retract, making the ends difficult to bring together for repair.

Depends: It depends if the toe is causing pain or what position the toe is in with relation to your other toes.
