A member asked:

I have a daughter that is 11 years old and she has black spots on her sclera. is this a sign for glaucoma or is this just normal for some people?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pigment deposit: This is a developmental pigment deposit on the whites of your daughters eyes. Glaucoma at that age will not cause any visible signs unless totally neglected and at late stage when the cornea can get cloudy. Why do you think an 11 year old might have glaucoma in the first place?
