High chol & TGs: Avoid fast food that tends to b deep fried; choose lean meats, oily fish (salmon), foods high in omega-3 fats. Sugary, high glycemic carbs tend to raise tgs. Increase dietary fiber (absorbs fats) meds: omega-3 supplements (1000 mg enteric coated, 3-4 a day); rx for "statin" cholesterol-lowering agent from doc; some also recommend niacin/a fibrate to help lower tgs. Crestor (rosuvastatin) works well 4 both.
