Needs follow up.: Cervical lymph nodes (in the neck) are common in children. They can persist for very long periods of time. Most important is that your pediatrician knows about them and re-examines them periodically (remind him or her from time to time). They can be removed surgically or biopsied but this is not usually necessary.
