Tick bites: Infection is more likely the longer the tick was attached. There are a group of infections carried by ticks like Lyme, Babesia and Ehrlichia. And Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Your doctor can do a blood test to check for these; not all are as common in Kentucky as other parts of the country.
