New mole concerns: New moles in adults are concerning yet at age 19 it's possible that the mole has been present but has just recently been more obvious. A family history of melanoma or atypical nevi should raise your suspicion as well as your motivation to get any or all moles examined at a face-to-face office encounter. Pigmented moles that itch, bleed, have wierd color patterns, or larger than 6mm are a concern.
