Dr say 5-10% chance of brain bleed from blood thinner meds is high risk? mom has blood clots from fall in brain and dvt 1 dr says meds, 1, 1 not sure

Filter: It does appear that anticoagulant therapy would be risky in this situation. An alternative is to insert an IVC filter to prevent the blood clot from traveling from the leg to the lungs. Of course the attending physicians ,who know all the findings, are best qualified to give advice in this case.
