I have gerd and today my chest is hurting badly. my bp is 148/77 and pulse 72. i've had this similar pain in the past but i'm on protonix (pantoprazole). not working?

Probably need rx chg: Probably need an increase in gerd rx or a change . You do have a few risk factors for heart disease and should be worked up as well.

See a cardiologist: Symptoms of gerd can be similar to angina which is pain due to blockage of arteries of heart & it may require further work up including a stress test.
