Nerve: The symptoms suggest nerve impingement -probably a carpal tunnel type problem unless there has been an injury or signs of inflammation in the thumb area. If symptoms persist after avoiding stress on the wrist and thumb, consult a hand SURGEON for evaluation and treatment suggestions like a temporary splint or brace,for example.
