Depression: Yes you certainly need some help with what has been going on with your life. See your doctor and discuss your concerns about both your pain and depression. They both worsen each other, and treating one will likewise help the other. You would also benefit from some individual and group therapy. Coordinate the care: NOt sure what you mean by " prose " Are you referring to Prozac (fluoxetine) which is an antidepressant. A psychiatric consultation would seem to be in order but you also should have your other doctors decide on any pain medication that you need. Ideally the mental health team should coordinate with the doctors doing your physical care. This is difficult situation but good rehab is the goal here.

Please discuss: These issues with your doctors as soon as possible. Depression warrants treatment, pain may worsen the symptoms, and vice versa. If you’re suffering with depression, you may require meds, therapy (individual, group, etc), as both meds and therapy often works better than either one alone. Good luck!
