SSRI Weaning....: Coming off SSRI's after 9 years is difficult to do. As you come down on them, you will experience feels of "anxiety" and withdrawal, naturally. I don't know your current dosage, but assuming you are coming down from a high dose of citalopram, (they come in 80, 40, 20, 10 mg), you need to be under the supervision of a doctor while weaning down. Thyroid issues also needs to be addressed.
