Clear up infection: Hopefully, it is an excellent antibiotic, and calcium pills are to stem osteoporosis (calcium escaping from bones).

Decreased absorption: Co-administration of Cipro (cipro (ciprofloxacin)floxacin) and calcium may decrease the absorption of cipro (ciprofloxacin). If she is better then it was not a problem.
