SnapCracklePop!: Sounds like a form of arthritis in the neck. Also, did you know that some of the structures in the throat can also get arthritis? So you'd best see a doctor who can help you sort this out. Motrin may help. Tylenol (acetaminophen) too. Depending on how it looks to the doctor he may prescribe other medications as well as, possibly, physical therapy or some other form of physical intervention(s). Be careful driving.

Tough question: I have had several patients report sensation of something getting "stuck" in their anterior neck. Several have had MRIs of the soft tissue in their neck and scopes of the throat. All have been negative. I have come to the conclusion they had one of the muscles or ligaments (stylohyoid) in their neck "sticking" on the horn of the hyoid bone. Consider an ENT specialists if it continues/ worsens
