Red under eyes: This is not related to the procedure. MOre than likely she had her eyes taped shut during the procedure and this has irritated the skin causing this.

Mgt: I agree if the redness of the skin in that area appeared after surgery, it most likely represents a contact dermatitis. I would advise checking her temperature and applying a gentle cream such as Eucerin three times daily.
