Very good question!: Genetic factors and environmental factors predispose risk of cancer. You can only modify environmental factors. The most important are avoiding tobacco products and minimize alcohol use to 1 unit or less/day. Eat balanced diet (low salt, sugar, fats) with mostly fresh food (avoid preservatives) and exercise. Keep normal body weight. Reduce stress. Avoid polluted air, water, soil. You can pray too!
