Yes: A healthy lifestyle (no tobacco, eating well, exercising) will reduce the risk of getting cancer in any person, jewish or not. Certain jewish and other ethnic groups have a higher risk than others (e.g. Ashkenazi jews and brca mutations) so gather as much family info as you can and discuss this with your doc.
