3 cycles: irregular bleeding may occur for the first 3 cycles of using Marvelon. If irregular bleeding continues beyond that, sometimes a D&C is done to make sure there's no underlying problem in the uterine lining - but this will not help if the spotting/irregular bleeding is caused by the Marvelon. Discuss options with your gynecologist!
