Nonspecific: More information about the nature of her discomfort is needed in order to answer your question. Pain extending from the neck to the hips could be due to various conditions including strain or other injury, flareup of arthritis,spinal infection,etc. If the Pain is not relieved by hot or cold compresses, TYLENOL (acetaminophen) or antiinflammatories like ibuprofen,if she can take them, then bring her to a physician
