Glucosoamine possibl: All studies of glucosamine sulfate (natural form in our bodies) for the last 15 years have had a maximum dose of 1500 mg/day. The national Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database rates it "Likely Effective" for osteoarthritis, NO ONE has studied higher doses. I have seen success at 2 to 3 gm/day by 30days.Studies on athletes with knee injuries found no decrease in pain but increase in mobility.
