Urticaria: These sound like hives especially if they're itchy and only last for a day or so. Insect bites are another possibility. Hives(urticaria) denote an allergy to something internal or external, and treatment consists of finding the trigger and taking benadryl(causes drowsiness) or Claritin(nondrowsy). See an allergist for evaluation and treatment if needed.

Rash: You have a rash that may be aresult of allergy or infection (especially if associated with fever). See your primary dr or a dematologist. In the meantime use an antihistamine if the rash is accompanied by itching or Tylenol (acetaminophen) if you have fever.
