My daughter is 2 and is just getting over hand, foot and mouth but now she's hoarse. is this something that is severe or nothing to worry about?

Likely separate issu: HFM is triggered by one of several strains of a family of gut viruses.Abdominal discomfort and loose stools are often over-shadowed by the blisters found on skin or in the mouth. I can't recall any time where it bothered the airway or vocal cords, which would be needed to cause hoarseness. I would look at them as separate and apply the worry to match the effect on the kid.
