Yes.: It caused by virus. Repeat exposure may have repeat episodes. Watch out the persons she comes into close contact with.

Yes: Hand foot and mouth disease is from the coxsackie virus. Because its a virus, it can recur very much like influenza. The possibility that is has come back should be best evaluated by your pediatrician.

It happens: There are at least 3 strains of that virus family that produces the HFM pattern. You develop immunity to each strain separately, so you can have the pattern several times before that pattern stops appearing.Day care/school/supermarket exposures can all lead to a case if the strain is in your area.Adults will sometimes develop it if they didn't have the strain as a kid.
