A member asked:

My 2 month baby still hasnt started responding to my voice n cooing properly. only coos very occasionally. is this normal? should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Relax: Give baby some time to become more dramatic. At 2 mo the typical response to voice or sound can be a subtle change in breathing or eye movement. You may not see it unless you pay close attention. When you gaze at their face the often look back briefly and look away, as if they couldn't process too much at one time. If you are concerned about babies responses, take it in and discuss it.
