Congestion: The ear pain is likely due to impaired drainage by the eustachian tubes. Decongestant (pseudoephedrine or afrin) can often help improve and reduce pain. Steam vaporizer with Vicks in it can also help. Tylenol (acetaminophen) to control pain. Feel better!
