Irregular bleeding: It can be perfectly normal for a woman with a contraceptive implant to stop having periods and then have some irregular bleeding periodically. The implants in the lining, which will still need to shed from time to time I'll be it slowly. The dark blood is likely blood that has been with in the uterus for longer than usual and only recently got expelled. Hope that helps.
