Lipomas: Lipomas are benign fatty tumors. In very rare circumstances do they become malignant.

Not a sign of cancer: Lipomas are a tumor but they are benign. Large lipomas greater than 5 cm are concerning for a possibility of cancer. People who get lipomas tend to get more than one. There is an loose association of lipoma and hepatitis c. You are 38 and female. The most likely cancer at your age are for breast, ovarian, lung, and colon. See your doctor for regular check ups. Wear your seat belt always.
