Is a fever of 103.5 axillary normal for an 11 month old who is teething, has fecal odor to breath, clear nasal drainage, and other wise playful?

Teething & Fever: Fevers, diarrhea, rashes and all sort of things have been attributed to teething, but no scientific evidence exists that teething causes anything other than pain and discomfort. Fever is usually caused by an infection. Your pediatrician can help you sort this out.

Mgt: If the fever persists for more than 3 days, > 101, he may be developing a sinus infection. Usually if the fever is due to an uncomplicated viral infection it will resolve by day 11.
