A member asked:

Had c-reactive protein blood test. it shows my level is 1.55 ( normal is anything under .80). is mine considered really high??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, you did not provide the units of the result, however, it does not seem too high. See this site for more information on this topic. http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/c-reactive-protein/basics/definition/PRC-20014480
