6 wks too long...: Hi Craig675 Bruises usually evolve (dark brown to lighter to yellow to green and gone) over 2-3 weeks. Six weeks is a little long...maybe time to see another practitioner for a second opinion and exam. General surgeons are generally experienced in this.. Good luck.
