Constipation: Constipation would be a common cause for a left lower abdominal lump along with crampy pain. Small hard stools would be typical. Increase fiber (fruits, vegetables, bran or whole wheat cereals) and be sure to drink plenty of water (6-8 cups). Moderate exercise also helps. It is likely to clear up in a few days; if it interferes with activity or doesn't clear up, please see your doctor.
