I smashed my finger in the car door a week ago,it then turned very blue(almost black)on the tip and front of my finger.why has the swelling not down?

Finger fracture?: This crush type injury to the finger may have resulted in a fracture if the distal phalanx (end bone of the finger). This could explain why the swelling/pain persists. Recommend x-rays and evaluation by a healthcare professional
