A bug bit my almost 3y/o son a foot. it was a weal & now it's swollen & watery. dr said it's fine but the ankle is worsening. gave him 5ml benadryl (diphenhydramine) ?

Yes: You can give your son the Benadryl (diphenhydramine). I would suggest also informing the DR of the change, and if there is worsening, then a repeat exam is in order. Suggest using some warm, moist packs to the area, 3 times per day for about 15 min each time.

I'd remove doubt.: The time frame is an important element missing that would help, tremendously. If you child is showing any signs of distress, then he needs to be seen sooner that later.
