Other options: there are better options than aloe Vera juice for constipation. Is the constipation new or has this always been an issue for you? Do you take any medications? More info on your history is needed and then a plan can be made to help you. Consider a consult via HealthTap prime or concierge.

Yes: As Dr. Rudnick states, it's wise to find and treat the cause, but for now Aloe juice is very safe and has many benefits (http://tinyurl.com/o6eh7dw). However, it's not particuarly effective for constipation. The rind of the plant is a strong laxative but generally the rind isn't juiced. You can use rind extracts occ. as a laxative. Make sure you are on enough thyroid: http://tinyurl.com/6gvsxqu
