Many reasons...: Esophogeal spasm, gastric and esophogeal reflux, musculoskeletal, costo chondritis, pulmonary embolus, pleurisy, pneumothorax, etc, etc. Most likely it is musculoskeletal. If any shortness of breath, seek medical attention immediately.
