Numbness: Numbness usually means some process involving a nerve. It could be something like having worn tight-at the waist clothing that caused some compression, or possibly arthritis or spinal disk problem, particularly after having done some physical work. Onset of shingles could be numbness, itch or pain. Since this is persisting, i would recommend a visit to your doctor for a proper diagnosis.
