What would be a titrate schedule to get off of toprol (metoprolol) xl 12.5 mg?

Just stop taking it.: 12.5 mg is the lowest dose of Toprol (metoprolol) XL available. Assuming u take it once per day, the tapering schedule would be to just stop. If u r taking it twice per day, then switch to once per day for 2 or 3 days, then stop (u cut total 24-hr intake by 1/2 for 2-3 days, then in 1/2 again for 2-3 days, etc. until u are at the lowest dose; then stop).
