Lipids rise: Cafestol (and kahweol) may reduce the activity of hepatic LDL receptors and thereby cause extracellular accumulation of LDL (bad) cholesterol; triglycerides rise as well. However, use of a paper filter reduces the fatty drops containing these substances to a negligible level. It's best to filter ones coffee.
