A member asked:

Hi i'm taking percocet forms herniated lumbar disc. im having & am wondering if it's ok to take advil (ibuprofen) 800 mg along side percocet ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No drug interactions: There are no drug interactions between these two medications. However, please be aware that Advil (ibuprofen) is an aspirin based medication, and the more you take, the greater the risk of GI side-effects like stomach ulcers, etc . . . Since you are being prescribed percocet already, please contact your doctor, to inform him/her of your desire to add Advil (ibuprofen)--to be sure that they are in agreement. Good luck
