What's WBC count?: Toxic granulation associated with infection mean your child's body is reacting to an infection. If the wbc is over 15,000 after two days of antibiotics I would be concerned that the treatment isn't working. Stay in close touch with your MD especially if your child worsens. Make sure getting lots of water and rest. Seek ER if changes in mental status, worsening symptoms like rash while with fever.
