Unusual side effects: Those would be unusual side effects to citalopram. If they started with the medicine, then they probably are related, but if you have been on the medicine for a while, i would look for other causes. If you just started the medicine, perhaps you will be able to tolerate it at a lower dose and then slowly titrate up to 40 mg. You should talk to your prescribing physician.
