Bug bite on leg: Normally bug bites don't get infected unless we scratch and irritate them. The redness and the "whitehead" are a sign of infection. I would try some warm water compresses and gentle squeezing of the white head to see if you can "pop" it. Otherwise using topical antibiotic ointment (Neosporin) will help. These usually resolve without lasting effects good luck
